General Synod election results: Congratulations Rowena King and Paul Brewster!

Your representatives – the results are in…

The election to fill two casual vacancy positions on General Synod, one for the House of Laity and one for the House of Clergy, has been underway since 2 June.

Following the end of the voting period on Monday 4 August, and the count which was held on Tuesday 5 August, we can now confirm the following members of each house have been duly elected as your representatives for the remainder of the General Synod term (until July 2026).

Elected from the House of Clergy:

Rowena King

Rowena is the Canon Missioner at Lincoln Cathedral. She has experience in both parish ministry and education.

Elected from the House of Laity:

Paul Brewster

Paul is a retired bank manager and a current Diocesan Trustee. He is also Chair of our Investment Committee and holds numerous parish roles, including Churchwarden.

Thank you to the houses

We would like to thank both houses for their involvement in the elections, and pay particular tribute to the other candidates who were Laura Mitchell, Greg Bannister, Pauline Cummins and Rachel Heskins.
