Read the storyAndrew Drummond-Hunt has announced his intention to retire from working life after nine years as the Diocesan Surveyor and Director of Property. He has been a dedicated colleague and a trusted support to parishes. Andrew will enter retirement in December.

Andrew has quietly and effectively overseen the management and care of clergy housing, glebe land and various other land-based assets across Greater Lincolnshire. He has been a trusted parish adviser and estates surveyor.
His service has been deeply appreciated by all those who have had the pleasure of encountering his skill. Some may not have even been aware that Andrew was the person involved with managing a project’s success from start to finish.
Andrew has navigated challenging times in the diocese with professionalism, integrity and thoughtfulness. This was never more so than during periods of the often uncomfortable yet always essential changes made through Time to Change Together. This saw him raise substantial funds to help provide financial sustainability in the diocese.
Colleagues in Assets, Trusts and Property, along with the many clergy and parish volunteers in the diocese, have been pillars of support for Andrew. He said:
“The team I have had the pleasure of working alongside have been critical to supporting my role here. Together, we have made a bigger impact than I thought possible. I look back and see just how much everyone has been a blessing to me and, most importantly, the diocese as a whole.”
He has worked closely with contractors, retained land agents Savills, Chattertons Solicitors, local estate agents and other professional organisations. He offers a thank you for all their help and guidance.
The breadth and depth of Andrew’s role means that the search for his successor will begin in the coming weeks. We look forward to making an announcement once they are selected.
In the meantime, we wish Andrew plenty of joyful rest in retirement and that a swathe of new adventures await him.
