The Commissioner, due to their independent status, raises public awareness and holds both agencies and government to account in tackling domestic abuse.
The ‘VOICE’ platform will have a major impact because raising the voices of victims and surviviors is the first priority in the Commissioner’s long-term plan.
“It’s important to me that I hear from a diverse range of people with lived experience of domestic abuse and that they are able to use their voice to create meaningful change.”
Nicole Jacobs, Domestic Abuse Commissioner for England and Wales.
Victims and survivors, as well as friends and family bereaved by domestic abuse, can sign up to receive a new VOICE newsletter.
This will include opportunities to share experiences and receive updates on the important work of domenstic abuse organisations and academics.

The Commissioner is in a unique position to create an environment that connects survivors who wish to use their voice with organisations that need to hear them.
The ‘VOICE’ virtual platform includes lots more information, a welcome video, a survey and FAQ’s.
