The service celebrated the journey and contributions of women priests over the past three decades, highlighting their vital role and service in the church.
A sermon was preached by the Revd Liz Brown, Dean of Women’s Ministry in the Diocese of Lincoln and Rural Dean of Yarborough. You can read the whole sermon below.

The Eucharistic Prayer spoke of a great host of remarkable women and thanked God for the witness and ministry of women, and all those who respond to God’s call to serve in a myriad of ways.

Afterwards, there were refreshments for everyone to enjoy in the chapter house. It was a good opportunity to meet ordained women and hear their stories.

The day also saw a buffet lunch hosted for women who were ordained priests in this Diocese in 1994 or women now serving in the Diocese who were ordained in 1994 in another Diocese. The Bishop of Lincoln said a few words to those present about the importance of marking the occasion and thanked people for their dedication and service.
