Muriel Robinson steps down as Chair of the Diocesan Board of Finance
It is with mixed emotions that Muriel Robinson has stepped down as Chair of the Diocesan Board of Finance (DBF). As she does so, we reflect on her time with us.
Read the storyFollowing the publication of an article in a national newspaper on Monday 24 November, we can confirm that the Revd Sion Hughes-Carew has been convicted of a drink-driving offence.
The matter has now concluded in court. This behaviour falls short of the highest standards of personal and professional conduct expected of our clergy.
This situation is being taken very seriously, and a formal disciplinary process is now underway, as required by the Clergy Discipline Measure (CDM). In accordance with usual practice, this process is being conducted by an external bishop.
The Bishop of Lincoln has been named in the article, but he was not directly involved in the drink-driving incident.
As this incident is now the subject of the CDM process, we are unable to comment on specific details.
