Marking Racial Justice Sunday 2026
Each year, our diocese marks Racial Justice Sunday. This is an important day to recognise our common humanity and the love and compassion that we share between us as diverse children of God.
Read the storyThe Church of England has approved a comprehensive redress scheme for survivors of Church-related abuse.
However, the scheme is not open to receive applications, and the legislation approved by General Synod in July 2025 must still pass through the required parliamentary stages.
Eligible applicants may receive financial redress, therapeutic, spiritual and emotional support, acknowledgment of wrongdoing on the part of the Church, apology and other forms of bespoke redress.
We hope to update everyone once the scheme is live for applications
